(1)Week: 13 Period: 37 Date of preparation: 17/11/ 2012 Date of teaching: 21/11/ 2012 UNIT 6: THE YOUNG PIONEERS CLUB LESSON 5: LANGUAGE FOCUS I OBJECTIVES: By the end of the lesson, students will be able to: consolidate the knowledge they have learnt from the unit 6: modal verbs, gerund, and present simple tense with future meaning II PREPARATIONS: Book III PROCEDURES: Teacher’s activities Students’ activities (2) Warm – Up: (5’) - Have students play a game: “Who is quick person” Give some sentences: Hoa loves playing volleyball Nam hates reading book Nga likes listening to music - Team works Exercises: (35’) a/ Exercise 1: Present simple tense with future meaning - Set the scene: Lan and Mai are members of the Y & Y organization They are talking about the spring activity program - Ask students to complete the following dialogue Lan: (1) …………… we collect and empty garbage? Mai: At Dong Xuan Market Lan: (2) ………… We collect and empty garbage? Mai: On January Lan: (3) ………… we start and finish work?
