Học phần nhằm giúp sinh viên củng cố vốn từ vựng cơ bản, rèn luyện cách sử dụng ngôn ngữ, cấu trúc về các chủ đề khác nhau như Dân số, Môi trường, Giáo dục. Bên cạnh đó, học phần còn giúp người học làm quen với một số lĩnh vực pháp luật cơ bản có liên quan đến các lĩnh vực đời sống xã hội như Pháp lệnh dân số, Luật Giáo dục, Luật Môi trường và một số lĩnh vực pháp luật khác. Đồng thời môn hình giúp sinh viên hiểu được công tác của phiên dịch viên và bước đầu hình thành, làm quen kĩ năng biên dịch thông qua các hoạt động rèn luyện kĩ năng nghe hiểu, ghi nhớ, và tốc ký, từ đó trang bị cho sinh viên kĩ năng sử dụng tiếng Anh pháp lý một cách tương đối thành thạo trong môi trường làm việc quốc tế liên quan đến lĩnh vực pháp luật.
Session 3: Memory Skills MA Luong Ba Hung MEMORY SKILLS • A NEWSPAPER TRANSLATION If you want to improve your short term memory by newspaper translation, follow these steps: Step Source Take a newspaper article length 70 – 100 words Step Try to remember it as much as possible Should be written by native people Don’t choose the article which is too long Time for study minute After having prepared all carefully: Step Put the article face down and repeat it as precisely as possible Note Use the language of the article Step Translate the article aloud Advice Speak evenly without pause or stutter - Do two passages a day until you can speak without hesitation - Use a tape recorder to record and check your performance - This may need frequent practice over 12 weeks or so B TRANSLATING FROM SPEECH • Translating from speech is the process by which conversational spoken phrases are instantly translated and spoken aloud in a second language How it works?
