I/ Reported Speech: Statement (Câu tường thuật/Câu gián tiếp) Là lời tường thuật lại ý người nói

Bước Thay đổi Thì (Lùi Thì):

Bước Thay đổi Từ phải đổi: this  that

b/ Công thức:

S + said (to S.O) (that) + PP.TTh S + told (S.O) (that) + PP.Th Ex: “I am doing my homework now”

 John said He was doing his homework then  Áp dụng điều cần thay đổi để làm ví dụ trên:

Bước 1: thay đổi cách xưng hơ “John” nam nên dùng chủ ngữ “he”

2 “I will talk to Miss Green tomorrow”

 Rose said (that) she would talk to Miss Green the following day

3 “I sold my bike yesterday”

 Tom told (that) he had sold his bike the day before

II/ Conditional Sentence: Type & (Câu điều kiện loại IF loại1 & 2) 

IF1: Câu điều kiện loại

Diễn tả hành động viêc xảy tuong lai a/

Mệnh đề diều kiện Mệnh đề If + S + V1/(s/es),

If + S + don’t/doesn’t + V1,

S + will/can/may + V1 S + will/ can/ may + not + v1 IF + HT.Đơn Thì tương lai đơn

*Example:

1 If I have much money, I will buy a house

(Nếu có nhiều tiền, tơi mua ngơi nhà – Điều kiện xảy ra) If I am free, I can go shopping

(Nếu rảnh, tơi mua sắm – Điều kiện xảy ra) He will fail the exam if he doesn’t study hard

(Anh rớt kì thi anh khơng học hành chăm - Điều kiện xảy tương lai) b/ Unless = If not (Nếu không)

*Example:

1 If she doesn’t homework, the teacher will be very angry

 Unless she does homework, the teacher will be angry

(nếu cô không làm tập nhà, giáo viên tức giận)

 Vì Unless = If not nên viết lại câu bỏ trợ động từ doesn’t câu viết lại hết

2 If you don’t study hard, you will fail the exam

 Unless you study hard, you will fail the exam

c/ Note:

*Example: (Áp dụng công thức viết lại không thay đổi nghĩa câu) Mệnh đề + or + clause  If you don’t V1, clause (S+V+O)

1 Go away or I will call the police

 If you don’t go away, I will call the police

2 Study hard or you will fail

 If you don’t study hard, you will fail



IF2: Câu điều kiện loại 2:

Diễn tả hành động việc xảy tương lai Mệnh đề điều kiện Mệnh đề

V2/ed didn’t + V1 If+

were weren’t

,S + could/ would/ should/ might (not) + V1

Note: câu If loại “were” dùng cho tất chủ từ Example:

1/ He doesn’t have enough time He can’t finish the test (thì Hiện Tại Đơn) (Anh khơng có đủ thời gian Anh khơng thể hồn thành kiểm tra)

 If he had enough time, he could finish the test (thì Quá Khứ Đơn)

(Nếu anh có đủ thời gian, anh hồn thành kiểm tra – Trái ngược với tại) 2/ I am not a bird I can’t fly everywhere (Tôi chim.Tôi bay nơi)

 If I were a bird, I could fly everywhere (Nếu chim, tơi bay nơi)  Thực tế “tôi” chim
