Aim: By the end of this lesson, Ss will be able to describe physical appearance by using the adjectives.Listen to know people’ appearance.describe job,and the appearance of others.Read to understand about Tuan and Chi. II.Contents: 1, Vocabulary: Tall ,Short,Thin,Fat,Heavy,Light,Weak,Strong. 2, Grammar: He is tall. 3, skills:L-S III.Teaching aids: 1, Teacher: pictures, tape cassette. 2, Students:book . IV. Procedures: Teacher s and Student s activities’ ’ Contents 1, Warm up (1 )’ Greeting and organization. 2, Checking the old lesson(6 )’ - T divides the class into two teams then asks them to play the game Network with the words Parts of the body. - Ss play the game Network in two teams. - Checking: S – S, T – S. Then give more. 3,New lesson a. presentation (12 )’ - T sets up the situation and gives Ss some new words and pre-teaches them using the pictures. - Ss learn and remember the new words. - Checking: Rub out and remember. - T gives Ss some model sentences and pre-teaches how to describe the physical appearance. - Ss learn and remember how to describe the physical appearance. - T asks some Ss to make some Network head shoulder chest leg hand arm toe foot finger A 3 . Grammar. * Model sentences: - He is tall. - She is thin. * Form: S + am/ is/ are + adj Parts of the body examples. - Some Ss make some examples. - Checking: S – S, T – S. b. practice (15 )’ - T play the tape part A3 and asks ss to listen and repeat. - Ss listen and repeat. - T calls ss to read.Ss read - T checks and corrects. - T shows the pictures on the board, and explains the request of the exercise A 4 .
