AIM: By the end of the lesson, Ss will be able to learned about new topic “ countryside” II. LANGUAGE CONTENTS: 1.Grammar : - Modal “ could” with “ wish” 2. Vocabulary : - shrine (n) - reply (v) - hero (n) - banyan tree (n) - entrance (n) - journey (n) III. TECHINQUES : Networks, true/ false statements, classification, Slap the board IV. TEACHING AIDS: Pictures, tape, cassette, extra- board, books. . V. PROCEDURE: T’s and Ss’ activities Content - T checks two Ss - Ss give the keys on the board - T corrects and gives marks The answer 1.He was seen yesterday. 2.They have just been sent a new book for me. 3.A new book is going to be bought by Lan 4.Someone doesn’t paint this house. 5.Their homework will be done next day. - T asks Ss some questions - Ss answer freely MARKS (10m ) * Change into the opposite form 1. They saw him yesterday. 2. A new book has just been sent for me. 3. Lan is going to buy a new bag. 4. This house isn’t painted. 5. They will do their homework next day. 1. WARM UP : * Chatting : 1. Have you ever been to the countryside ? 2. How often do you go there? UNIT 3 : A TRIP TO THE COUNTRYSIDE LESSON 1: GETTING STARTED AND LISTEN AND READ - T asks Ss to play “ Networks” to talk about what they see on the way to the countryside. - T says “ In today’s lesson, we will study about activities in the countryside. Now you work with a partner, look at the pictures and take turn to talk about activities in the countryside” - Ss look at the pictures and descried them - T gives the correct answer by answering some questions - Ss take note - T says “ Today we will hear and read about Liz’s trip to the countryside with Ba’s family. You find new words” - T gives new words on the board. - Ss guess the meaning of the new words. - T reads new words twice and Ss listen carefully and repeat. - T checks the words by playing “ Slap the board ). - T gives the structure on the board ( T only talks a little about that structure ) - Ss take note. - T asks Ss to guess the sentences in part 3. Have you got any relatives there? 4.What activities do you usually see in the country? * NETWORKS Playing soccer Cutting rice Swimming Flying kite 1. PRESENTATION : 2.LISTEN AND READ * New words: - banyan tree (n) : ( What does Uncle Cuoi sit under the tree? ) : cây đa - entrance (n): ( situation ): lối vào, của vào - Shrine (n) ( picture) : đền, nơi thờ cúng - reply (v ): ( situation) : đáp lại - riverbank (n) ( picture) : bờ sông - picnic (n) ( example) : cuộc dã ngoại - buffalow (n) ( picture) : con trâu - journey (n) ( situation) : hành trình - snack (n) ( example) : món ăn nhanh - paddy fields (n) ( n) : những cánh đồng lúa. ( Slap the board ) * The structure : “Wish” sentence Activities 1). Check True/ false . - Ss work in close pairs , then Ss give the guessing on the board. - T says “ Now you listen to the tape twice” - Ss read the passage individually before the class ( 2 students) - T corrects the pronunciation - Then T asks Ss to read the passage and decide the statements in a) True or False. Correct the false ones. - Ss work in group and then some Ss in every group gives the answer on the board. - T corrects the guessing - Ss take note - Ss read the passage again and answer the questions - Ss work in small groups and then give the keys on the board ( every groups do one sentence) - T corrects - Ss take note I wish I could visit your village again - Câu ước muốn không thể xảy ra ở hiện tại 1. he can’t sing well.  I wish she could sing well . * Guessing : True or False? 1. HOMEWORK : - Learn new words and the new grammar by heart. - Do exercises 1 , 2 on page 20 ( ex. book). - Do exercise: Use “ wish” * I can’t fly like birds. ( I wish ) * She can be died because of the broken heard. ( She wishes ) - Prepare Unit 3 Lesson 2: SPEAK @Answer the questions - Do you like living in the country ? - For you, what do people do for their living in the country?
