continued  Click the Find Next button in the Find and Replace dialog box to tell Word to find the next occurrence of the text  Click the Replace button to replace the text and find the next occurrence  If you know that you want all occurrences of the text in the Find what text box replaced with the text in the Replace with text box, click the Replace All button This replaces every occurrence from the location of the insertion point to the beginning or end of the document (depending on the search direction) © Paradigm Publishing, Inc 23 Objectives Objectives Find and Replace Text and Formatting - continued Less button (previously the More button) Specify search options © Paradigm Publishing, Inc 24 Objectives Objectives Find and Replace Text and Formatting - continued Choose this option Match case Find whole words only To Exactly match the case of the search text For example, if you search for Book and select the Match case option, Word will stop at Book but not book or BOOK Find a whole word, not a part of a word For example, if you search for her and not select Find whole words only, Word will stop at there, here, hers, etc Use wildcards Search for wildcards, special characters, or special search operators Sounds like Match words that sound alike but are spelled differently, such as know and no Find all word forms © Paradigm Publishing, Inc Find all forms of the word entered in the Find what text box For example, if you enter hold, Word will stop at held and holding 25 Objectives Objectives Find and Replace Text and Formatting - continued Choose this option To Find only those words that begin with the letters in the Find what text box For example, if you Match prefix enter per, Word will stop at words such as perform and perfect but skip words such as super and hyperlink Find only those words that end with the letters in the Find what text box For example, if you Match suffix enter ly, Word will stop at words such as accurately and quietly but skip over words such catalyst and lyre Ignore punctuation characters Ignore white-space characters © Paradigm Publishing, Inc Ignore punctuation within characters For example, if you enter US in the Find what text box, Word will stop at U.S Ignore spaces between letters For example, if you enter F B I in the Find what text box, Word will stop at FBI 26 Objectives Objectives Use the Click and Type Feature To use Click and Type: Hover the mouse at the left margin, between the left and right margin, or at the right margin Double-click the left mouse button Insertion point © Paradigm Publishing, Inc 27 Objectives Objectives Use the Click and Type Feature - continued Click this down-pointing arrow to display a list of vertical alignment options © Paradigm Publishing, Inc 30 Objectives Objectives Vertically Align Text - continued  The Vertical alignment option box in the Page Setup dialog box contains four choices: Top, Center, Justified, and Bottom  The default setting is Top, which aligns text at the top of the page  Choose Center if you want text centered vertically on the page  The Justified option aligns text between the top and the bottom margins  Choose the Bottom option to align text in the document vertically along the bottom of the page © Paradigm Publishing, Inc 31 Objectives Objectives Vertically Align Text -
