Giáo án English Unit 10 : Health and hygiene Period 62 : Lesson : A-1 I Objectives After the lesson Ss will be able to revive the simple present tense + the simple past Ss will get acquainted with the new topic : Personal hygiene -To drill Ss speaking and ,Reading skills II Teaching aids text book , work sheet III Teaching procedure Class organization Date: 7A 7B Oral test - Do exercise in the work book ( test your self ) New lesson: A Warm up Ask Ss to make new sentences , using the past form of the verbs: Take - made -teach – borrow Think - buy - help - decide - Check if necessary B Pre- reading - Ask Ss to answer the questions about Hoa a.Where does Hoa come from? b.Which school does she study in ? c Where does she live now ? d Who does she live with ? e Where her parents live ? - Ask Ss to work in pair to answer the questions - Read the questions aloud - Introduce the reading.and ask Ss to read the reading C While – reading - Ask Ss to scan the reading and give the content of the reading - Ask Ss to write down the new words : Take morning exercise : Tập thể dục buổi sáng Stay up late : thức khuya Get up early: dậy sớm Take care of oneself: tự quan tâm đến thân Don’t eat too much candy: không ăn qúa nhiều kẹo - Ask Ss to read the new words in chorus - Ask Ss to work in pairs to read the reading again and answer the quetions ( p 100 )in the text book - Write the answer on the BB a They are busy because it is nearly harvest time b Hoa ‘s grand father helps them on the farm c They will go to Hanoi soon, after the harvest d Now Hoa is different She gets up early and does morning exercises everyday e Hoa’s mother wants her to : her own washing and ironing f Hoa ‘s mother does’nt want her to eat too much candy - Ask Ss to read the reading aloud - Correct the Ss’ pronunciation D Post – reading - Ask Ss to work in pairs to dicuss saying about the things they often to keep the body healthy - Give the guided questions + What you often in the morning / afternoon / evening? + Do you brush your teeth in the morning / in the evening? 4.Consolidation - Retell the content of the lesson Home work - Ask Ss to the exercise A1 in the work book Pre: Unit 10 : Health and hygiene Period 63 : Lesson : A -3 I Objectives After the lesson Ss will be able to revive the new topic : Personal hygiene And revive the structure : brush one’s teeth, have breakfast/ lunch/ dinner, wash and iron clothes -To drill Ss listening ,Reading skills II Teaching aids Tape , cassette, text book , work sheet III Teaching procedure Class organization Date: 7A 7B Oral test - Do exercise A1 in the work book ( page 61 ) New lesson A Warm up.: Matching: Receive a Kẹo Get up b Là quần áo Iron c Nhận Candy d.Ngủ dậy - Ask Ss to give the correct answer - Read the words in pairs B.Pre- listening - Introduce the listening and aks Ss to work in pairs to guess what is Hoa doing ? - Get up - Comb hair - Put on clothes - Polish her shoes - Have lunch - change clothes - wash and iron clothes - Check their guessing.and give the meaning of the difficult words C.While- listening - Play the tape and ask Ss to listen and arrange the pictures - Ask Ss to share the answer with their partners - Ask Ss to give the correct answer and write it down A, e, f, d, g, c, h, b - Ask Ss to read aloud the answer and the new words D Post- listening - Ask Ss to tell about the activities that they everyday ( work in pair ) + Get up + brush teeth + change clothes + E Pre- reading - Introduce the reading, and ask Ss to work in pairs to read the reading F.While- reading - Ask Ss to read aloud the reading and practice talking about Nam ‘s daily routines What time does Nam at 6.30 ? -Play the tape the first time, and ask Ss to find the answer -Ask Ss to listen to the tape again and answer the questions in the text book -Call some pairs answer in front of the class a.) She explains What will happen.She give them advice She tells them how to look after their teeth, and she reminds them to clean their teeth regularly ans eat sensibly Play the tape the last time to check their answers - Introduce some new words: Remind sb to smt: nhắc nhở làm Clean teeth regularly: đánh thường xuyên Eat sensibly : ăn uống hợp lý -Ask Ss to read the new words in chorus D Post- listening Ask Ss to the exercise Choose the best word in the bracket 1) Dr Lai looks ( after/ for / up ) all the students ‘ teeth 2) Our teacher reminded us ( for / to / about ) all the home work 3) Most of the children are ( scared/ scare / scaring ) when they go to the dentist 4) My mother always give me some ( advise/ advice/ advising) Consolidation Revive the content of the listening Home work - Do exercise B2 in the work book ( p: 64) Pre: Unit 10 : Health and hygiene Period 67: Lesson : B-3 ,4,5,6,7 I Objectives After the lesson Ss will be able to know more about the personal hygience, and practice asking and answering the questions about the tooth and toothache -To drill Ss reading skills II Teaching aids Tape, cassette ,text book , work sheet III Teaching procedure Organization: - Date : 7A: 7B: Oral test: - Do exercise B in the work book ( page 64 ) New lesson: A Warm up -Ask Ss to retell something about the doctor Lai -Others listen and give more details if necessary B Pre- reading.Ask Ss to find the information about the Dr Lai and Minh Find the person who Is kind and helpful Has a toothache Is scare of seeing Dr Look after teeth Hate the sound of the drill Has to visit dentist B While- reading: Dr Lai - Introduce the lesson ,and ask Ss to read the reading Minh - After reading the text , Ask Ss to complete the story - Write the answers and read the answers aloud.( work in pairs ) Minh is very nervous and Dd Lai notices this She smiles at Minh and tells him not to worry She explains one of his teeth has a cavity He has to brush them regulary After Dr Lai fills his tooth, Minh leaves He is very please -Ask Ss to work in group of three to read the reading D Post- reading Ask Ss to look at the exercise 4(p 105) to practice asking and answering the questions a) Minh is nervous Why ? Because he’s seeing the dentist b) The cavity is not serious Why? Because it’s very small c) Minh looks worried Why? Because he always forgets to brush his teeth d) Minh is very happy Why? Because his teeth are OK -Check if necessary E Further practice Ask Ss to work in groups to list the things they should & shouldn't Consolidation retell the content of the reading Home work - Read the reading and exercise B4 in the work book
