STRUCTURE 6 Somebody + have + someone + do something Somebody + get + someone + to do something Somebody + have + something + done "To get someone to do something" suggests that you talked to the person and convinced him to do something. "To have someone do something" simply states that you arranged for someone to do something, whether or not that person did it voluntarily. EX: He had his waiter carry the luggage home.
