Do the same with igloo and iguana[r] (1)Date of preparing: 15/2/2019 Week: 22 Period:43 UNIT 9: Letter Ii Lesson 1 I.Aims. 1/Knowledge. - By the end of the lesson, students can be able to recognize and pronounce the letter Ii and its sound correctly -Understand, recognize and say the three Ii words and Write the letter Ii Vocabulary Ink, igloo, iguana Sight words Oh no, my 2 Skill: Listening, writing , speaking and reading. 3 Attitude. - Educate Ss to be friendly with friends - Students love animals and objects with the letter g II.Teaching aids: T: teachers’ book, , CD, phonics cards ,paper including the lyrics of the chant Ss: Student’s book, colour Activity book. III Teaching method: MAT, TPA. IV/ Procedure 1 Organization Date of teaching Class Absent Students 18/2/2019 1A1 2.Warm up ( 5’) 3 New lesson ( 30’ ) Teacher's and Ss activities Contents * Activity 1(10’) T: Introduction of letter A , Its sound and how to pronounce the words beginning with Aa - Use a card with letter Aa or write on the board the letter Ii to introduce to the students the new lesson - Ask students how to pronouce the letter name and the letter sound by saying “ This is the letter I /ai / The letter I says / ai/ - Ss: look at the cards listen and repeat 1.Listen, point and repeat Colour (2)- Ss: work individually T: Repeat several times and check student’s pronunciation(letter Ii /ai / and its sound / / -Use the phonics cards with glass ,goat and garden , read the words out loud and ask students to repeat - Ss: work individully and pairs T: Use gestures (hand actions ) to help students to understand the meanings of the three words -Check student’s understanding T says the words,all ss actiuons and vice versa -Call some ss to say the words out loud and correct their mistakes Activity: acting out (3 mins) - Call a volunteer student to the front of the class - Show him/her a phonics card or whisper a word, and have student act it out - Ss: remember the cards - Ss: work individually - The other students will guess the word of the picture - Who guesses correctly first will get a small gift - Ss: work individually - T:Continue changing the other cards - Remember to correct student’s pronunciation throughout the lesson *Activity 3: Where the letter (5’) T: Ask ss to work in groups T hangs out the photographs about the storry and ask ss to circle the letter - T give the time - Ss: work in groups - T corrects and praise the winner * Actuvuty 4:Production (5’) - Show the letter Aa again , and ask ss to (3)write the Aa in air with their fingers - Ss: look at the board and write in the letter - Ss: work individually and pairs - Ask ss to write down the words ant, apple, alligator into their notebook - Ss; work individually - T: corrects 4.Consolidation(5) - T asks whole class to read the letter aloud Do the excersice 1,2, 5/Comment the lesson Date of preparing: 15/2/2019 Week:22 Period:44 UNIT 9: Letter Ii Lesson 2 I.Aims. 1/Knowledge. - By the end of the lesson, students can be able to recognize and pronounce the letter Ii and its sound correctly -Understand, recognize and say the three Ii words and Write the letter Ii Vocabulary Ink, igloo, iguana Sight words Oh no, my 2 Skill: Listening, writing , speaking and reading. 3 Attitude. - Educate Ss to be friendly with friends - Students love animals and objects with the letter I II.Teaching aids: T: teachers’ book, , CD, phonics cards ,paper including the lyrics of the chant Ss: Student’s book, colour Activity book. IV/ Procedure (4)Date of teaching Class Absent Students 22/2/2019 1A 2.Warm up ( 5’) - Ask ss to review the letter Ee and the words: egg,elephant 3 New lesson ( 30’ ) Teacher's and Ss activities Contents * Activity 1(Track 29): (10;) -Read the commands with preceding “Hello” -Have students look at the books and listen to the words: hello -Use gestures (hand actions) to help Students to understand the meanings of commands -Ask students repeat by using the phonics cards of Ink, igloo, iguana combining with gestures - Ss: look at the pictures listen and point - Ss: work individually -Then, ask students to look at the missing puzzle pieces and match them to the pictures -Go around the classroom and provide necessary help Pass the phonics card Game (5’) -Using the phonics cards of Ii ,Ink, igloo, iguana -Line up the students into teams -Give the first students of each team a phonics card and say “Go” - Ss: work in groups -The students say the corresponding words and pass the phonics card over their head to the students behind them -Next, those students repeat the word and pass the phonics card between their legs to the students behind them -Continue to pass the phonics card over their heads and between their legs to the last students -Which team hands their phonics card to Teacher and says the word correctly will get one point - Ss: work in groups -Which team has the most point will be the winner 1 Listen and point Match - Phonic cards (5)-Continue the game as many times as necessary * Activity (Track 30) (5’) -Put up the lyrics of the chant on the board -Without music, use the phonics cards and step students to sing the chant with ink Do the same with igloo and iguana - Ss: llok at the chant listen and repeat - Ss: work individually and peirs -With music, the whole class sings the whole chant Do the chant again using gestures for each word -Give feedback Activity 3: Write down the words into Students’ notebook(5’) Ask students write down:Ink, igloo, iguana into their notebook 4.Consolidation: (5’) - T asks whole class to read the chant aloud 5/Comment the lesson 2 Chant and show! I, ink I, i, i, ink Ink, i, i, i!
