Một số cấu trúc viết câu * It's time / It's high time:

Đã đến lúc -> Diễn tả thời gian mà việc nên làm

It's time / It's high time + S + V [ passub : V (2/ed)/ be -> were )} Ex: It's time you stared to work

It's time / It's high time + (for +O) + to- V Ex: It's time for her to go to bed

* Would rather: Mong muốn

S + would rather ( that) + S + V (p.sub) * Would rather: Thích

Would rather + bare-inf = Would prefer + to-V It + be/seem +adj + (for +O) + to- V

* Đã từng/ thường (quá khứ) Used to + bare-inf * Quen với, thích nghi với:

Be/ get used to + N/ V (ing) * Quá, không thể:

S + V + too + adj/ adv + (for + O)+ to-inf Ex: he is too young to get married

* Enough: Đủ (không đủ) để

S + be+ adj + to- V = to- V +be + adj = V(ing) + be+ adj * Structures used to rewrite the sentences without changing the meaning:

S + last + V ( past tense) + Khoảng thời gian + ago

- > It is/ has been + khoảng thời gian+ since + S + last + V( past tense ) -> S + have/ has + not + P.P + for + khoảng thời gian

-> The last time +S +V( past tense) + was + khoảng thời gian + ago or: The last time + S + V ( past tense) + was + in+ mốc thời gian Ex: Lan last wrote to me a llong time ago

-> It is a long time since Lan lát wrote to me -> Lan hasn't written to me for a long time

-> The last time Lan wrote to me was a long time ago S + have/has + never +P.P +before

->This/ It is the first time + S + have/ has + P.P+ Ex: I have never eaten this kind of food before

-> This is the first time I have eaten this kind of food before * So that / Such that : Quá

S + V + so + adj/adv + that + clause

S + V + such + (a/ an) +adj +N + that +clause Ex: She is so beautiful that everybody admires her -> She is such a beautiful girl that everybody admires her * Because:

A, so B

-> Because A, B

* Verbs of opinion: Think, say, report, know, believe ( Chỉ ý kiến quan điểm) Active: S1 + V1 +that + clause (S2 +V2+ )

or: S2 + be + P.P + to-inf / to have +P.P

Ex: People say that he is rich -> It is said that he is rich -> He is said to be rich * Keep/ keep on:

keep / Keep on + N/ V(ing) = Continue + To- V/ V(ing)
