Teaching methods: Integrated skills, mainly communicative C. Teaching aids: Text book, teaching plan D. Procedures: 1. Class organization: Class Date Attendances 10A8 2. Check-up: Ask Ss to summarize the talk out a weekend picnic. 3. New lesson: Stages Teacher s activities’ Students activities’ Warm-up Warm-up - ask Ss to in answer some questions - have Ss to give answers and have other give comment - give feedback and introduce the lesson 1. What is a request letter? Request is the letter that asks for information or help. 2. What is a confirmation letter? Confirmation is the letter that responds to the request. It confirms whether the help is provided or the information is available or not. Before you write Task 1: Finding the Request and Confirmation: - ask Ss to work in pairs to read the two letters & to find the requests in Nga's letter and confirmation in Hoa's. - ask Ss to pay attention to the structure showing requests and confirmation. - ask Ss to compare their ideas with other pairs. - give feedback to Ss 1.Task 1: Finding the Request and Confirmation: Requests : "Can you go shopping with me to buy the things we need for the trip?" Confirmation: Certainly, I will help you to prepare everything you need for the trip.
