Topic: The traffic in Ho Chi Minh City is said to be “terrible”, especially during rush hour What are the causes and what solution can you suggest to improve the situation No one can deny that terrible traffic in HCM is playing an unwanted role in adding stress to city dwellers recently Everyone is transferring into “ninja” or “warrior” with full of sun protection suits from head to toe as armor every time they out on streets, tolerating the over 35 Celsius degree heating, dust for hours Worse still, drivers always advance at a snail pace during rush hours and taking any chances to overtake the others, may expecting to be punctual for their appointments Traffic growing and low infrastructure are two main reasons why traffic is very bad in HCMC The first reason is traffic growing HCM is the largest developing city in Viet Nam, the number of vehicles has been increasing for over 30 years into millions of all kinds and the motorcycle are the most popular transport on the road now While road expansion is much lower, it cannot satisfy the traffic demand With more cars on road, along with people’s bad traffic behavers it becomes easier to cause terrible traffic congestion and accidences To solve that problem, government should have regulations that have people chose public transport in some specific days, so that they can limits vehicle going out the street In addition, most traffic wardens should be posted in busy intersections to regulate the flow and prevent vehicle owners from taking chances to ignore traffic rule The next cause is the low infrastructure The roads in the City are too small, too narrow, bad quality with many potholes These sure vex people or even lead to accidence Moreover, so many vehicles on narrow road will also have traffic participants tolerate more dust as well as smoke from engines In my opinion, expending road, building more railway, subway, walking street will well to solve the problem A well developed traffic infrastructure offers satisfaction and safety to people who participates the traffic In conclusion, the two contributing factors making HCM City traffic going worse are the increasing of vehicles brought into the city and road construction are falling far behind the traffic demand Sound regulations and traffic infrastructure improvements are required to improve the situation (words count: 358) Topic: The biggest problem facing my city (376) HCM city is the biggest city in my country with nearly million people, most of whom are immigrants Therefore, HCM city is facing many problems day by day such as population growth, transportation, public….In my opinion, the biggest problem in our city is transportation specially the traffic jam To begin with, we all know that due to the development of industry, many people in countryside want to come to bigger cities for working to have a better life In addition, more and more students go there to study at university Therefore, the population in our city is more and more increasing, leading too may people pour to the road Imagine you can easily see that in the morning when people go to work or go to school and in the afternoon, when people out of work, you ride your motorbike on the road, you can see the sea of people Everybody drove onto the sidewalk So every day we spend a lot time on transfer in road, you can imagine that in the city we can ride the motorbike with the lower 40km/h, this speed is the usual but if you go out with the rush time, it will be a problem because it will take you twice or three time as long time as the normal to ride For example, my personal example, I have finished my work at 5:00 pm but I have returned my house at 6:00 pm or even 7:00pm, usually it take just 30 minutes to go from my house to my company because of the traffic jam I wasted a lot of time for riding motorbike, it’s make me tired when coming home and without doing anything The next, traffic jam makes many public services aren’t effective For example, more public transport in model society such as bus, more students and pupils use the bus as vehicle when they go to school because of convenient and cheaper price, but when traffic jam, they will take a lot of time to go to school The traffic jam is the biggest problem in my city,it affect to life of many people is living at city it’s need of solution to reduce this problem If you could spend an afternoon with one member of your extended family, who would it be?
