UNIT 5 : THINGS I DO PREIOD 28 LESSON 3 A5 - 6 P.54 - 55  AIM : Simple Present tense with Yes/ No questions and short answers.  OBJECTIVE : By the end of the lesson, Ss will be able to talk about daily routines, using Yes/ No Qs in the S.present tense.  VISUAL AIDS : Poster or Handouts for Corid + FSW 1 - Warmer (Revision) : Pelmanism : 8 cards 2 - Pre - teach Vocab : (to) play volley ball a girl * R.O.R football / soccer a boy sports 3 - Presentation dialogue : .Set the scene : T uses the picture on page 54 to set the scene : Ba and Lan are talking about activeties after school. Who are they talking about ? (Nga, Lan, Thu, Vui) What are Nga and Lan doing ? What are Vui and Thu doing ? Go to school do homewook listen to music watch TV (Vietnamese) . Ss listen and repeat the dialogue 2 times . Model sentences : Do you/ they Does he/ she play volley ball ? I/ we/ they Do Yes, he/ she Does I/ we/ they don' t No, e/ she doesn' t * Concept check : Meaning : How do you say the questions in Vietnamese ? Use : Do you expect sb say Yes or No to your Qs ? () Form : So what kind of Qs are these ? (Y/N Qs) What part of speech is do/ does ? (auxiliary V) So, can we say : Does he plays volleyball ?  play Pron : Do you : /dj / or /dju : / Does he : / dzi / Yes, I do / No , I don' t / No, he doesn' t. Ss listen to the dialogue again and fill in the grid. Grid : (Key) Volleyball Football Nga  Lan  Thu  Vui  Girls ()  4 - Practice : Ss practise asking + answering Qs with the information from the grid. T - WC ; half class - half class, pairwork, delayed correction. 5 - Further Practice : FSW Ss copy the table / T gives out handouts. T elicits the Qs.
