Presentation : Activities Content - T asks Ss to remind the structures of past simple and present perfect tenses - T hangs an extra board with grammar notes on the board - T explains them. - T identifies the difference between them - Ss listen and copy down - T shows to form a compound adjective and gives examples - Ss repeat all these words A. Activity 1 : I. The difference between past simple and present perfect tenses: Past simple Present perfect S + V2/V-ed S + didn’t + V1 Did + S + V1 ? Practice : - T guides Ss to play a game : who is quicker? - T divides the class into two groups - Each group chooses two Ss. - Ss come to the board and pick out the compound adjectives on the extra board. Then stick to the suitable sentences - T remarks. B. Activity 2 : Choose the compound adjectives to complete the sentences: 1. clothes-washing 2. flower-arranging 3. rice-cooking 4. rice-exporting 5. car-making - T gives the task and guides Ss to do it - Ss do exercises (oral-written ) - Group-work to find out the adverbs. - Ss work in dividually. Then compare with their friends’result. C.
