Tag questions (Câu hỏi đuôi) (phải không?) Câu hỏi đuôi gồm hai phần: Câu nói (statement) + Phần đuôi (tag) Eg: You study here, don’t you? Statement tag General rules (quy tắc chung): a Câu nói phần đuôi luôn dạng nghĩa đối nhau: Affirmative statement, negative tag? Negative statement, affirmative tag? Ghi nhí: - Khi câu nói có từ phủ định nh: seldom, rarely, hardly, no, without, never phần đuôi phải dạng khẳng ®Þnh Eg: He seldom goes to the movies, does he? b Verb of the tag (Động từ phần đuôi) - Nếu động từ đợc sử dụng mệnh đề động từ Tobe động từ khuyết thiếu, động từ Tobe động từ khuyết thiếu đợc sử dụng lại lần câu hỏi đuôi , nhng phải dạng trái ngợc với dạng thức ®ỵc sư dơng ë mƯnh ®Ị chÝnh Eg: They won’t answer the questions, will they? Helen can speak English very well, can’t she? My mother is very beautiful, isn’t she? - Nếu động từ đợc sử dụng mệnh đề động từ thờng, ta phải sử dụng động từ to nhng phải số, với đại từ đứng sau Eg: Hoa makes the questions, doesn’t she? Nam didn’t agree with you, did he? My father went to the cinema, didn’t he? c Chủ ngữ câu hỏi đuôi phải với chủ ngữ mệnh đề chính, nhng chủ ngữ phải chđ ng÷ rót gän cđa nã Eg: My younger sister has bought a new school bag, hasn’t she? Special cases ( Trờng hợp đặc biệt): a Phần đuôi “ I am” lµ “ Aren’t I ” Eg: I’m going to it again, aren’t I? b Imperatives and Requests ( Câu mệnh lệnh câu yêu cầu): Imperatives: +, Có phần đuôi wont you? diƠn t¶ lêi mêi: Eg: Take your seat, won’t you? (Mời ông ngồi) +, Có phần đuôi will you? diễn tả lời yêu cầu Eg: Open the door, will you? ( Xin vui lßng më cưa) Requests Eg: : Please keep silient, will you? (Vui lßng giữ im lặng) Please dont make noise, will you? ( Xin vui lòng đừng làm ồn) c Phần đuôi câu với Lets + V : Shall we ?” Eg: Let’s go swimming, shall we? (Chóng ta bơi nhé) a Nothing, đợc thay It câu hỏi đuôi: Eg : Nothing gives you more pleasure than listening to music, does it ? b Noone, Nobody, anyone, anybody, someone, somebody, everybody, everyone đợc thay They câu hỏi đuôi Eg: Lu ý : Someone remembered to leave the messages, didn’t they? Nothing, Nobody đợc dùng mệnh đề chính, động từ câu hỏi đuôi phải dạng thức xác định (Vì Nothing Nobody có nghĩa phủ định) Eg: Nobody phoned while I was out, did they? c This/ That đợc thay It Eg: This wont take long, will it? d These/ Those đợc thay “They” Eg: Those are nice, aren’t they?
